About the programme
You Are at Home programme is intended for refugees and migrants living in Poland, especially those who have recently arrived. It is aimed at people interested in art, culture and socially engaged activities, as well as those who were professionally involved in art in their country of origin but have not yet had the opportunity to do so in Poland. Projects supported under the programme can be submitted by any migrant or refugee, regardless of their origin, legal status or previous artistic experience.
So far, three editions of the programme have taken place: 2023/2024, 2024, 2024/2025.

Programme goals
The programme aims to support migrants and refugees at the beginning of their life in Poland and enable them to start or continue pursuing their ideas, passions and professions, as well as to establish contacts with the Polish culture and arts sector. The programme operates in two ways: one is financial support for a given person, and the other is dedicated workshops on how to promote one's skills and initiatives, how to create projects and describe them effectively in terms of possible funding and grants, and with whom to establish contacts.
The promoted initiatives are usually the beginning/part of a larger project/activity; they concern the development or continuation of passions or artistic/social activities in which a given person was involved before coming to Poland; they are carried out by individuals and groups, with the active participation of various communities.
Workshops, training courses, consultations
Each edition of the programme includes workshops for scholarship holders, which provide an opportunity to establish contacts with other creators and artists, as well as to map Polish cultural institutions and organisations according to their interests and needs.
During the workshop sessions, we focus on useful information and tips related to each participant's projects, effective communication of activities, and the development of a plan for future development and continuation of projects. We also strive to give participants the opportunity to get to know each other and the institutions and organisations with which they can collaborate.
Colophon
The programme is financed by Stichting Vluchteling as part of the cooperation between Strefa WolnoSłowa and the Egala Association.
