Without Borders is an interactive performance in the tradition of Forum Theatre / Theatre of the Oppressed, co-created by Miguel Ferreira, drawing on the work of Augusto Boal.
About the event
This event is for anyone curious about theatre that doesn’t end with watching; and also for those who prefer to stay in the role of observer. Participation in the interactive moments is voluntary.
Forum Theatre is a form of theatre where we watch scenes based on real social situations, and then open them up for collective action: audience members can step into the scenes, propose different responses, “stop” the action, and test various ways of dealing with symbolic violence, exclusion, responsibility, and solidarity. It’s theatre-as-dialogue, about empathy, agency, and thinking together.
