Strefa now!
Strefa WolnoSłowa does not currently organise any fundraising and does not coordinate direct aid for people arriving from Ukraine. Instead, we try to map organisations, grassroots initiatives, and network those in need of help with those helping them.
We support with all our strength and as much as we can all those who seek refuge, regardless of their origin or skin color.
As Strefa WolnoSłowa we don’t organize and coordinate direct humanitarian aid related to the war in Ukraine at the moment, but we try to map organizations, grass-roots initiatives, network people who need help with those who are helping.
That’s why you can contact us if you are lost or confused about the situation and don’t know where to look for help for yourself, your loved ones, your friends and strangers. Strefa WolnoSłowa is a large community, we will try to link you with the right places, people, if necessary we can help you find accommodation, transportation, a lawyer. We do not set up our own hotlines, we do not gather a staff of volunteers, because we cooperate with other organizations that already do this very well and with the City of Warsaw.
At the same time we are constantly engaged, together with other members of Grupa Granica in helping on the Polish-Belarusian border.
And we are preparing to launch cultural-artistic and educational activities for all those who will find their home in Warsaw and Poland, either permanently or temporarily:
- classes for refugee children,
- multicultural theater workshops for youth and adults,
- multicultural music workshops,
- meetings for migrant artists,
- meetings around migration, which will help us all to better understand what is happening and react,
- educational meetings for schools, cultural centres, organizations and all kind of informal initiatives.
