    Are you an artist involved in theatre, film, photography, music, writing, or crafts? Have you worked professionally in the arts in your home country but haven’t had the chance in Poland? Do you want to organize a cultural event or build a community through art? Whether you’re sharing your work or supporting others, we can help!

    Each participant will receive a micro-grant of PLN 3,000. You will also get a chance to implement your project and attend workshops on project planning, execution, and communication on November 16 and 17 in Warsaw.

    The program will conclude with a meeting with all participants presenting the resulting initiatives on March 2, 2025, also in Warsaw.

    YOU ARE AT HOME

    Thank you for your interest in the “You are at home – micro-grant to get started” program. Open call for the 3rd edition of the progran ended on Sunday, October 27. Applications will be evaluated by the Strefa WolnoSłowa team of: Alicja Borkowska, Weronika Chinowska, Olga Klip, Pavlo Luhovyi, Stanley Ndua, and Łukasz Wójcicki.

    The results of the call will be announced no later than November 6, 2024.

    We would like to invite all migrants and especially those with refugee experience to the 𝕐𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝔸𝕣𝕖 𝔸𝕥 ℍ𝕠𝕞𝕖 support project for artistic and cultural/social initiatives 


    Do you create artistic activities (theatre, film, photography, music, poetry, writing, handicrafts, dance)? Have you been professionally involved in the arts in your country of origin, but have not yet had the opportunity to do so in Poland? Would you like to organize a cultural event for your community? Or maybe you would like to create a community through cultural action? Are you thinking of sharing your writing, painting, photography, performance art with the world? Do you need support to keep creating or do you want to support others through your work? Are you looking for inspiration and motivation to take action? Submit your initiative to our programme!

    YOUR PROJECT

    What you can propose:

    • A one-time artistic, cultural, or social event;
    • The start or part of a larger project;
    • The development or continuation of your passions or activities from before you arrived in Poland;
    • A project you can carry out alone or in a group with the active participation of others;
    • Proposals are open to any migrant or refugee, regardless of background, legal status, or previous experience.
    WHAT WE OFFER

    Each participant will receive a micro-grant of PLN 3,000. You will also get a chance to implement your project and attend workshops on project planning, execution, and communication on November 16 in Warsaw.


    The program will conclude with a meeting with all participants presenting the resulting initiatives on March 2, 2025, also in Warsaw. 

    The Strefa WolnoSłowa will cover the costs of possible accommodation and travel for those participating in the workshop, as well as provide substantive and communication support to the implemented initiatives.

    Receiving a micro-grant implies a commitment to implement one’s initiative and to participate in the workshop and the program’s closing meeting. 

    APPLICATION

    Applications are open until October 27, 2024. The Strefa WolnoSłowa team will evaluate your submission, and the results will be announced on November 6, 2024!

    Each project participant will receive 𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝟯𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗟𝗡. Participants will also have the opportunity to implement their project and take part in workshops on planning, implementation, and project communication. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟭𝟳 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘄.
