    Are you an artist involved in theatre, film, photography, music, writing, or crafts? Have you worked professionally in the arts in your home country but haven’t had the chance in Poland? Do you want to organize a cultural event or build a community through art? Whether you’re sharing your work or supporting others, we can help!

    Each participant will receive a micro-grant of PLN 3,000. You will also get a chance to implement your project and attend workshops on project planning, execution, and communication on November 16 and 17 in Warsaw.

    The program will conclude with a meeting with all participants presenting the resulting initiatives on March 2, 2025, also in Warsaw.

    ASYLUM WARSAW 2024

    Become a part of the multicultural theater project of the Strefa WolnoSłowa!

    We meet every Tuesday from 18.30-21.00 in the Workshop Room of the Powszechny Theater in Warsaw.

    We start with the project kick-off meeting on February 27, 2024.

    The workshop is for you if you want to meet new people, try your hand at group work, if you like storytelling, moving, and dancing, if you are curious about new challenges, the world, and people. Our meetings are for anyone and everyone, regardless of previous artistic experience, background, or level of Polish language skills. Tasks and exercises are adapted to people of all ages – adults, seniors, and senior citizens. During the class, you will participate in theater games and acting tasks, and learn to improvise with your body, movement, voice, and words. The workshop will end on June 20 with a jointly created theatrical event for the audience!

    The workshop is conducted in Polish and English, with translation into other languages handled as needed by the group.

    The workshop is led by the Strefa WolnoSłowa team: Olia Kalakoltsava (acting tasks), Alicja Borkowska (theater, writing, working with stories), Katarzyna Stefanowicz (movement, dance), Pavlo Luhovyi (writing), Ray Dickaty (musical improvisation), Lukasz Wojcicki (movement), Oma Ukuwoma (movement).
